Michael Sturtz and his industrial-arts group called the Crucible based out of Oakland, California have successfully modified an old motorcycle using a diesel V6 from a BMW to not only run on Biodiesel, but to even clock a staggering 130mph. Apparently, the speed comes from a chain gear system fitted onto the motor and the gearbox as well as the crank on the motor side which has twice the number of teeth on the gear box side, giving a top engine speed of 8,200rpm. It took the team 6 months to get the mod street-ready with a $20,000 investment. That’s cool and very eco-friendly too. Wanna know what it can do? Check out the vid after the jump.
